ABOUT TENER
For nearly two decades, TENER has dedicated himself to mastering every aspect of electronic music production. Driven by a passion for emotionally immersive storytelling, he combines technical precision with cinematic songwriting to create records that leave a lasting impression. Every release is built on years of refinement, originality and an uncompromising commitment to quality rather than quantity.
Inspired by the world’s biggest festival stages while remaining true to his own artistic identity, TENER continues to push his creative boundaries through constant learning, collaboration and innovation.
From professional audio engineering to songwriting and vocal direction, every element of his work serves one purpose: creating music that resonates on a deeper emotional level and stands the test of time.
THE BEGINNING
Back in 2005, Timo was just 7 years old when electronic music became more than something to listen to. Driven by curiosity, he began to find out how to produce and experimented with Magix Music Maker when it was still a loop-arranger.
What started as childhood fascination turned into a relentless pursuit of learning. Over the following years, he explored countless production techniques and software before being introduced to Ableton Live 9 by a dutch DJ friend in 2013.
The release of the Tomorrowland Aftermovie 2014 became a defining moment. Inspired by the scale and emotion of modern digital music, he immersed himself in music theory, sound design, mixing, arrangement and songwriting. Rather than rushing to release music, he spent years refining his style, determined to build a sound that would be recognizable and stand out. That patience paid off in 2021.

BREAKTHROUGH
Under his former artist identity "Götz", he submitted "Pharaoh" to Protocol Recordings´ Demo:Drop livestream, never expecting it to become a turning point in his career. Intrigued by the unusual decision to submit a psytrance-inspired record to a Progressive House label, Nicky Romero and Head of A&R Jorik Van De Pol gave it a listen.
What followed exceeded every expectation.
Nicky Romero praised not only the production quality, but also the record´s unique artistic identity, drawing comparisons to artists such as KSHMR, Timmy Trumpet and W&W, while even supporting him by connecting dots to Dharma Worldwide, KSHMR´s own label.
However, this momentum unfortunately collided with the pandemic.

THE CRAFT
Working demanding shifts as paramedic, TENER was forced to put his music career on hold.
Yet even during this period, he never stopped developing. Every spare hour was invested in improving his skills through masterclasses by KSHMR, Nicky Romero, Hans Zimmer, Bass Kleph and many others.
Alongside his job, he completed professional training in Audio Engineering at HOFA College, further strenghtening the technical foundation behind his productions.
As the world reopened, so did the next chapter of his musical journey.

RECOGNITION
Competing in multiple international SKIO remix contests, TENER consistently reached finalist positions and earned recognition from artists including Repiet, Mark Sixma and Ørjan Nilsen.

TODAY
At the moment, he continues to refine both his artistry and performance through the Tomorrowland Academy and the Toolroom x Voltage Circus Academy, steadily working toward his goal of releasing on Protocol Recordings.
PHILOSOPHY
For TENER, it has always been about creating emotional experiences that connect with listeners on a deeper level. To fully realize that vision, he began writing songs and vocal direction, ensuring every record tells the story he set out to create.
